Oven baked herring (gavros) with tomato and olive oil

ingredients:

  • 1 kg gavros fish (herring)
  • •2 large mature tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • juice of 1 small lemon
  • Salt

<strong>Preparation: </strong>


Wash the fish, after removing the head and intestines, clean them and place them in a fairly large pan. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon, salt and sprinkle with the rest of the fish and oregano. Then with your hands and add the garlic. Put the tomatoes on the fish and cook for 45-50 minutes at 180 degrees.
